Traditional Naturopathic Medicine
The Vitalist Philosophy
Within the field of Naturopathic Medicine is the niche of Vitalism. In that philosophy of medicine, physicians believe that the body knows how to heal itself. That when the right conditions are met, the body can regain health. This begins with removing factors that create inflammation and degrade health while supporting the systems that are depleted or disturbed.
Dr. Jared Zeff has been a practitioner and teacher of this type of medicine for over 40 years.

At Salmon Creek Naturopathic Clinic, we are committed to helping you on your health journey through traditional naturopathy and herbal medicine. We believe in treating the whole person, not just the symptoms. Our doctors specialize in a variety of natural health practices, including acupuncture, botanical medicine, homeopathy, and dietary evaluation. We are here to help you achieve optimal health and wellness.

Vitalistic Naturopathy is also preventative medicine, in which health is viewed as the normal state of the human body. When illness occurs, the goal is to move the body back to a state of health using medicine with the minimum level of force necessary to do so.

Diagnosis
Vitalistic Naturopaths are clinically trained doctors. Diagnosis and evaluation of patient health is achieved through standard laboratory testing, as well as integration of traditional and modern clinical methods.
What to Expect
Patients often come to us feeling disillusioned with the care offered by the standard medical system. They sought healing, but instead merely had symptoms treated and illnesses managed during 15 minute appointments with the doctor.

Naturopathic Physicians are primary healthcare providers, but at the Salmon Creek Clinic, new patients are scheduled a Comprehensive 90 minute office visit with the doctor. With that much time we can go over your medical history, do a physical exam and all relevant diagnostic evaluations that can be done in the clinic.
We order diagnostic lab tests similar to any other general practitioners when necessary. We interview you about your exercise, habits, sleep and emotional state, in order to understand why you are ill. Typically, we will create a treatment plan together and you will leave the first visit with medicine to begin treating your health concerns. Additionally, you will receive a report with dietary intolerance evaluation findings soon thereafter.

There are shorter appointments available, if you have only a singular health concern to discuss.

Feeling tired and run down is a common issue these days. Our naturopaths can help identify the root cause of your fatigue and develop a personalized treatment plan to increase your energy levels. This includes adrenal and thyroid concerns, Hashimoto's.
Chronic Illness
Where standard Western medicine manages illness indefinitely, Traditional Naturopathy seeks to heal it. Using the Theraputic Order, our doctors strive to resolve symptoms and address the underlying cause of illness. This can include almost any condition, including:
-
Diabetes,
-
Hypertension,
-
Fibromyalgia,
-
Allergies,
-
Asthma,
-
Headaches & migraines, and more.
Mental Health
Patients commonly come to us looking for help with depression, anxiety, and insomnia.
Women's Health
Our physicians are trained to address a range of women's health concerns, including menstrual irregularities, fertility, pregnancy, perimenopause and menopause symptoms. We take a holistic approach to women's health and work with our patients to develop personalized treatment plans.
We also offer standard well woman check-ups with labs.
Family Care
This is a family practice, and we also do well-baby,
well-child visits, and men's health.
Common illnesses in children can often be treated during short pediatric visits.
Undiagnosed Illness
Often, the patients who end up at our clinic have run the gamut of standard medical doctors and specialists, but couldn't get diagnosed. They don't feel well, but didn't find the help they were seeking - until they came here.
By addressing poor digestion and reducing inflammation through diet while supporting weakened systems, the body can heal even without a pinpointed diagnosis.
